Qualcomm is coming with bigger move towards its latest chipset with is called as Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) which may unveil in end of the September. The main focus is to build the next generation performance at next level, increase the speed and performance to target the advanced level smart device and flagship segment handsets.
The report source come from Digital Chat Station, were the SM8850 which will be Qualcomm Snapdragon second-generation self build Oryon CPU architecture. So looking the performance part on Geekbench 6, the speed of the single core performance speed is around 4000+, while the other part multi core is performance is boosting around 11000+, which means the previous version of chipset SM8750 which were having performance speed of single core 3100 and multi core speed upto 9800.
On the other part DCS as per shared source, the Qualcomm Snapdragon next upcoming move towards flagship next generation part, Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 (SM8950) this may come in next year 2026. While seeing the Apple A18 and A18 Pro strategy, Qualcomm may come with dual versions platforms which may include SM845 and SM8950.
Both the variant versions may come with TSMC;s advanced 2nm process, which may sufficient for power efficiency and performance, On the other hand it may increase the raise in manufacturing prices. But it looks like all the flagship segment phone will not have SM8950. Some standard handset devices may have this chipset and some top model variant model may have SM8950.
